Wilder Coe Sponsors the Kilburn Festival

Wilder Coe LLP was delighted to sponsor and attend the Kilburn Festival, held on 8th July 2012 in Kilburn Grange Park. The festival is an annual community event celebrating live music and food from around the world with stalls run by community groups.

This year the theme of the festival was ‘The Five Rings in Kilburn’, celebrating the London Olympic Games. Highlights included the main festival stage showcasing local talent, children’s dance workshops, an older-peoples tea party, and over sixty stalls with a variety of food, drink and services on offer.

Ross Pitcher and the audit team braved the rain to put up Wilder Coe stall at the event, meet local businesses and answer all manner of financial queries – ranging from producing charity accounts, completing a tax return and advising young people on the accountancy profession.

The event was a great opportunity to meet and advise local organisations, from the well-established Women’s Institute to a brand new Cupcake business! Although the weather was unpredictable, our advice was much more straightforward!

Ross Pitcher, audit supervisor at Wilder Coe and Treasurer of The Kilburn Festival Charity said “It was a pleasure to meet local businesses and community groups and to help individuals with practical financial advice. It was also wonderful to meet Camden Major Heather Johnson to talk about issues facing local businesses and how volunteering can help communities. In addition there was great music on both stages and lots of stalls, and all the money raised goes towards supporting the Kilburn Festival and keeping it running as a free community event.”
