Administrator – Audit Team
Full-time. 35 hours per week

The Role
As a member of our Admin Team, you will provide proactive and professional administrative support to a dynamic and busy audit team that works with a diverse range of clients, from small local businesses to large multinationals.
You must embrace a team working approach, collaborating with the Partners, Managers and the admin team to fulfil the needs of the audit department, particularly reviewing systems and documents to ensure compliance concerning various Quality Control procedures.
You will also be required to provide ad hoc administrative support to various departments within the Company, including company secretarial, tax and, accounting support
You must be able to adapt quickly to various teams with specific work requirements.
This isn’t your typical admin role. Yes, you need to be highly organised, a self-starter, have an eye for detail and work to tight deadlines. But you will have an integral part in providing firm-wide administrative support. You must show initiative, juggle priorities, be proactive and recognise the need for absolute confidentiality and professionalism.

Main duties and responsibilities
Technical & Practical
- Reviewing and finalising financial documents prepared by the audit team to be sent for client approval.
- Processing signed financial documents in line with internal procedures, including liaising with other departments.
- Typing/preparing correspondence for Partners and Managers for their approval i.e. letters, emails, minutes, memos, file notes, preparing draft engagement letters, etc.
- Undertaking Quality Control reviews and reporting accordingly.
- Maintaining and updating databases, i.e. data entry, electronic filing, client details, and scanning.
- Liaising with Partners and managers to regularly ensure information stored in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system is accurate and updated, reporting and resolving issues accordingly.
- Onboarding new clients, including gathering, collating and reviewing “KYC – Know your clients” documentation in line with Money Laundering regulations.
- Updating letter templates, departmental procedures and/or manuals, relaying changes to team members and providing assistance and training where appropriate.
- Maintain a log of client records held, ensuring all records are stored securely, filed logically, and returned on time to clients on completion of assignments.
- Maintain a log of audit library books, ensuring books are returned promptly, follow up on any late returns and ensure the departmental library is presentable.
- Ensure the departmental stationery supplies are sufficient, ordering additional stationery when required.
Managing communications
- Liaising regularly with the Admin Team and Audit Managers to identify work commitments and prioritise workloads accordingly.
- Liaising with the Admin department to resolve problems on Partners/Managers’ behalf and taking ownership of the issue, following up where appropriate.
Developing self and others
- Working independently and/or as part of a team on projects providing administrative support.
- Assisting other teams when cover is required (full training given if applicable).
- Sharing workload and commitments with other audit team members, training and supervising where applicable.
- Undertaking research for various projects as required.
Person specification
- Administrative support experience
- Good working knowledge of databases, including Microsoft Office 365 Suite, with the ability to ensure all work is produced to our corporate style.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
