Recruitment FAQs
Do you offer work experience?
Unfortunately, we are not currently offering work experience opportunities.
Do you recruit graduates with no prior accountancy experience?
Yes, we do. We offer a balanced mix of hands-on experience and training along with support during professional exams and tuition. You’ll also enjoy a high level of responsibility and building client relationships as we strive to help you reach your full potential.
Do you keep CVs on file and if so for how long?
Yes, we keep your details on file for 6 months unless you request otherwise.
What qualifications do I need to become a trainee accountant?
Normally, we ask for 2 A Levels, an AAT Level 3 or a degree.
Is there more to accountancy than number-crunching and spreadsheets?
Most definitely! It’s not essential that you are a brilliant mathematician. There are many personal attributes that are more important than maths that make for a great accountant.
What personal attributes do you look for in your trainee recruits?
Good interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and good analytical skills, not just numeric analytical skills. You should also have good English language skills, both written and verbal.
What training do you provide?
Our trainee recruitment is conducted by the HAT Group of Accountants. You can find out more on HAT here.
I am interested in applying for a graduate trainee position, when will I start if successful?
We generally have two intakes, January and September, each year. Start dates in these months will be confirmed on an intake-by-intake basis.
