Mark Dawes Tax Partner

Mark Dawes is a Tax Partner at Wilder Coe, based in the City of London. He has worked in tax since 1991 and in addition to general compliance work he advises on all aspects of UK taxation, including high-end complex tax planning matters, with a particular focus on multi-jurisdictional matters. Mark is a Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians, having qualified in 1999.

He acts for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, internationally mobile clients and those in the sports, media and entertainment sectors, and is known for delivering technically robust and commercially practical solutions where cross-border issues arise.

Mark is a trusted adviser to a wide range of clients including Premier League footballers, global football agents, rugby union players, golfers, boxers, musicians, actors, entrepreneurs, and trustees. He leads all aspects of the planning process from initial strategy through to implementation, ensuring that tax mitigation structures are effective, compliant and aligned with clients’ commercial and personal objectives.

His work includes advising individuals coming to the UK, leaving the UK, and performing or working across multiple territories. He has extensive experience in residence and domicile matters, international income structuring and succession planning, and in coordinating multi-jurisdictional advice to provide cohesive and practical solutions. In addition, Mark accepts appointments as a Single Joint Expert, especially where there is an international aspect or where heavily detailed calculations are required.

Mark trained with Winters and has held senior roles at Barnes Roffe LLP and Sopher + Co, before joining Wilder Coe in April 2024 and ascending to Partner in October 2024.
